tweaked

I played with this photo a little in Photoshop Elements 3.0

Here's how:

1. Use the magnetic lasso tool to select the rose.

2. Click on Select.

3. Click Inverse.

4. Click Enhance.

5. Click Adjust color.

6. click remove color from area surrounding the object (the rose).

7. click adjust hue/saturation.

8. click the box that says colorize.

9. Move the three manual controls until you find the desired hue, saturation and lightness.

10. click select.

11. click inverse.

12. click enhance.

13. click adjust color

14. click adjust hue/saturation

15. increase the saturation slightly to make the rose brighter.

16. click select

17. click deselect.

18. click file- save as-

this should work on anything with a defined shape like this. The magnetic tool is amazing! I would love to see your 'tweaked' photos!

Jennifer,
What fun!! Thank you for sharing-I tried it out on the rose and it turned out great. I would have never figured that one out on my own-I just don't have that kind of time on my hands right now with little ones so THANK YOU! I will "tweak" one of my photos and post it soon.
